Install KIPTV on Fire TV

On Fire TV, KIPTV doesn't come from the Amazon Appstore: you install it with Downloader, a free app. All you need is the remote and five minutes.

  1. Get Downloader

    On your Fire TV, search for Downloader (the magnifying glass at the top of the Home screen, or just ask Alexa) and install it. It's free.

  2. Allow the installation

    Open Settings›My Fire TV›Developer Options›Install unknown apps and switch Downloader on.

    No Developer Options? Go to My Fire TV›About, highlight the name of your device and press the centre button on the remote 7 times, until “You are now a developer” appears. On older models the switch is called Apps from Unknown Sources.

  3. Type the code

    Open Downloader and allow access to files if it asks. In the box at the top type 6562468 and press Go: KIPTV starts downloading.

  4. Install

    When the download is done, press Install. Downloader then offers to delete the file it downloaded: go ahead, it frees up space and KIPTV stays installed.

  5. Open KIPTV

    You'll find it among your apps. Open it and scan the QR code with your phone to sign in, or to create an account in a few seconds.

Updates arrive on their own

You only do this once. When a new version comes out, KIPTV lets you know as you open it and updates itself in a couple of clicks.

Which Fire TV devices work

Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K and 4K Max, Fire TV Cube and TVs with Fire TV built in, with Fire OS 6 or later. You can check yours in Settings›My Fire TV›About.

It doesn't work on the oldest models with Fire OS 5, or on devices with Vega OS such as the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, which only run apps from the Amazon Appstore.

If something goes wrong

The code doesn't work

Type the address kiptv.app/fire in the same box instead: it leads to the same file.

Downloader says it can't install apps

Downloader doesn't have permission yet: go back to step 2, switch it on and try again.

“App not installed”

It usually means the Fire TV is short on space. Uninstall an app you don't use, or delete old downloads in Downloader, and try again.

Is it safe?

Yes. It's the official KIPTV app and comes straight from our server: Downloader only fetches it. Fire TV shows its warning for any app installed from outside the Amazon Appstore.
